Went to Upper Seletar Reservoir yesterday with my friend. Not a new place to many Singaporeans but still a great place to go!
Used to be Seletar Reservoir, it was renamed Upper Seletar, after Singapore built Lower Seletar reservoir.(just as nice but very crowded in comparison)
Upper Seletar Reservoir is actually a very small park. It is surrounded by golf courses and Nee Soon range
Some views from the park
Open stretch at Upper Seletar |
In the middle of the reservoir, theres a tall tower( which resembles a rocket). What came to our mind "why not climb it up to take a good view" and so we did. Upper Seletar Reservoir also offers open patches for picnic. But beware of aggressive monkeys all ready to plunge into the food!
As compared to many other parks in Singapore, Upper Seletar is largely small and less interesting. That said, considering its secluded location, you can expect the park to be less noisy then neighborhood parks. But as always, remember to being a cap and your water bottle for its open pathways can leave you hot and frustrated!
