(Achieved) Shores of North Pulau Ubin

Route of one of our Northern Shore trip

So from time to time, we explore the north of Pulau Ubin. North of Pulau Ubin has always been a place that I always wanted to go because I have never been there before and heard it is really peaceful and untouched. It is also not easy to get a chance to go there. These pictures are taken between Sep 20 and Jun 21.

Pity the shores were really shallow, otherwise we could go closer to the shorelines.

The North of Pulau Ubin is generally marked by the island natural shorelines, fences to stop illegal entry and kelongs.

For every picture, I invite readers to open the picture up and zoom in.

The West of Ubin is Tanjong Tajam marked by Tajam Beacon

As we may know Tanjong means cape. So if a place has a name with Tanjong, we can expect it is at the tip of the shoreline. The West of P.Ubin is a place called Tanjong Tajam. This place is marked by Tajam Beacon as well as a Shrine near it.

Up to the North of Ubin, it is a really quiet place dotted with Kelongs here and there. Generally, Ubin to the north is well fenced up to deter illegal immigrants from chionging in. The North of Ubin is also characterized by 3 disused Beacon: Kiri, Bamap and East Nanas

Kelong: Northern Kelongs are more peaceful then Southern ones

M'sia just opposite. No borders. See a vessel being sand on the beach?

The Northern shores of Pulau Ubin along Johor Straits is much peaceful and quieter then the area at Serangoon Harbour. Def a place to relax.

We also took the chance to take a photo from afar of Pulau Tekong Kechil and its reclamation.

Overall, I prefer the north of Pulau Ubin waters as compared to the south as it is way more quiet and peaceful.
