Recently, I found that Singapore port waters has an amazing breakwater at Marina South (near Gardens East). The breakwater is off the beaten track and it is amazing.
Those who make it here, come for various reasons. One is for exploring (like me) and others will be to fish, and to bird watch. One of the birdwatcher spotted a couple of Malaysian Plovers. According to her, the Malaysian Plovers would lay eggs in between the breakwater rocks.

Read from elsewhere that this breakwater makes for an amazing sunrise/sunset experience.
Apart from the breakwater, managed to catch sight of the Marina East/Marina South Staging ground. These staging grounds are apparently under LTA for purpose of earth disposal when MRT construction projects are conducted. It seems that excavated earth from MRT projects would be placed onto barges through this staging areas where some would be used for further land reclamation elsewhere.

Here is a video I took of this place:
Lastly, I took this picture as I wanted to capture this area of Marina South before it is opened to public. Here, there is already nice pathways and a playground already completed.

I went again to the breakwater on Jun 2021 for sunrise where this breakwater is now more known. As crowds has now built up, security is seen now cordoning off the breakwater. Thank goodness I was still able to catch an awesome sunrise before getting "chased away".
This time round, I was also able to catch the breakwater at low spring tide.

Lastly, I would like to end with a time lapse video of the Sunrise. You can see the tide coming in as well.
