Sentosa Cove: Inside

You may have very well been to Sentosa Cove before. But have you ever been inside Sentosa Cove? If you haven't this post may be interesting to you!

To start off, I would like to post a bird's eye view picture of Sentosa cove. This picture is taken from the Sentosa's website itself!

Birds eye view of Sentosa Cove taken from: http://www.sentosa.gov.sg/sentosaAR09_10/think-different_Waterfront-Living-at-Sentosa-Cove.html

As you can see Sentosa Cove is HUGE. If you have only been to the restaurant area of Sentosa then you have only seen a small part of Sentosa Cove!

A few months back, I had the privilege of entering Sentosa cove. Here are some pictures!
If you own a yacht, this is YOUR entrance to Sentosa Cove
Sadly, Sentosa cove is cordoned off from the public so you can't simply visit Sentosa Cove as and when you dessire. At the Southern Part of Sentosa cove, you will be treated to the sight of our Southern Islands namely St John's Island, Lazarus Island amongest others (If you would like to go to these islands, it is possible! See my post on St John's Lazarus Island and Pulau Seringat!)

Amazing view of the Southern Islands from the south of Sentosa Cove, where you can tell the name of the island from a half corroded signboard.

A walk around Sentosa Cove
Sentosa Cove houses numerous landed and condominium projects. And unlike landed property in mainland Singapore which are not for sale to foreigners, landed properties in Sentosa cove are available to foreign buyers!

The Sentosa Cove 'precinct' itself is well maintained. A walk around Sentosa will allow you to appreciate the cool sea breeze as well as the the excellent somewhat suburbia scenery it offers.

I manage to sneak in to the back of one of the condominiums and a sight awaited me! A river streaming down the back of your house! Imagine you now stay in a bungalow where you can drive your car out from your driveway to a road shared by your fellow bungalow neighbors. This is the case for Sentosa Cove except instead of a car, it is a yacht and instead of a road, a  river. WOW

If you have the opportunity to legally or illegally (which is quite easily done) get into Sentosa Cove, do give yourself a good 3 hours or more to explore the place for it is a sight to behold!

Nuff said, the way to get to Sentosa Cove is by taking a bus from Sentosa's Beach station bus terminus!
