Tanjong Rimau & Pulau Renggis

Today, we had a chance to visit Tanjong Rimau. Tanjong Rimau is one of the last few rocky outcrops of Singapore. A rare chance to find a natural shore in Singapore.

The shores of North West Sentosa starts from Pulau Renggis all the way West till Tanjong Rimau. To me, Tanjong Rimau is the cape of Rimau which is defined not so much by the iconic towers of Fort Siloso, but by Rimau Beacon.

Enjoy the pictures.

Pulau Renggis

Many people have tried to find Pulau Renggis. In the past, near the north west of Sentosa, there were 3 islands, Pulau Hantu (Keppel Island), Pulau Selegu as well as Pulau Renggis. Pulau Selegu has been reclaimed to join Sentosa for the cable car tower. How about the elusive Pulau Renggis marked by Renggis Beacon? It turns out that it is now a reef (Terumbu) off Singapore cruise center. Thus, knowing that this is a reef on its own, we should know that it is not "linked" to the Sentosa shores of Singapore.

We managed to chance upon the disused Jetty off Fort Siloso. This used to be the main jetty where people and wares would be transported. Now, we can still have some reminisence of the past with this structure still in place.
