Pandan Reservoir

Pandan Reservoir
The South Western part of Singapore (next to Penjuru) lies a natural beauty: Pandan Reservoir

This place is not secluded and it is easily accessible. But it seems that it is used more by foreigners then locals (unsuprisingly due to its close proximity to the industrial Penjuru area) and because the track is not well paved.

View of the reservoir in the day
I was here the night before before I returned again in the day. Whilst the day gives its natural beauty away, the reservoir (funnily being on a hill, maybe a man made reservoir? ), the night gives the place an excellent spot for star gazing (COUPLES LOOK HERE!). Unfortunately, the reservoir is not a friendly place for walking about be it day or night. Not only is the terrain undulating, travelling around here in the night is a challenge as there is no lighting at the eastern and southern part of the reservoir.

More views: see the pipes there?
The reservoir is situated beside Sungei Pandan (another beauty ) See the pipes at the side of the reservoir? there is a lane for one to travel which runs parallel to the pipes. You can actually climb from the lane beside the pipes up to the reservoir.

How to get to Pandan Reservoir?

Seeya there! Seeing Singapore Sooner than Never!
