Turut Track and Kranji Mashes

So while trying to find where Kranji Mashes was, we chanced upon Turut Track today! Turut track is really a small 1 way road that leads to Kranji Transmitting area and the BBC Far Eastern Relay Station.

Its really a nice walk in and it really reminds me of small roads leading up to bases of mountains in Malaysia and Indonesia. Its really rural and nice.

One significant landmark we passedby along Turut track is a huge transmitting station whereby there are towers of transmitting towers.

At the End of Turut Track, is the BBC Far Eastern Relay Station where there are satellite dishes and towers. It also reads a notice warning those with heart pacers be warned as signals may interfere with it.

All in all,  it was a really nice walk. Enjoyed it alot!


After visiting Turut Track, we headed over to Kranji Mashes!

Raptor Tower in Kranji Mashes

Kranji Mashes is one of the largest Freshwater marshes in Singapore. And guess what! Parking  is free! And this place is really ulu that not many people know about it. So apart from a handful of people, the whole park was as good as ours!

Entrance into the mashes

The Entrance into the mashes is marked by a beautiful ark. Thereafter, it is a 1km walk to the main attraction which is the Raptor tower. Situated near the Raptor tower are 2 bird watching pits! Note that the actual mashes itself is off limits to the public!

The view on the Raptor tower is amazing! From there, you have an overview of Neo Tiew Woods, Turuk Woods and the actual mashes itself!.
